Advocacy. Leadership. System Transformation.

The Latino Leadership Council was founded on the principles of Advocacy, Leadership and Systemic Change and we keep these three “plates” spinning at all times.

Advocacy is in everything we do and because we walk alongside the families throughout their services, we model advocacy for them so they can become their family’s best advocate in the future.

We embrace leadership not only among program participants who find their voices and in so doing help others, but also with our Promotores who – with every family they case manage -- gain insights, sow compassion and develop organizational, communication and leadership skills that are integral to their careers as doctors, teachers, social workers or elected officials.

And naturally, as Promotores interact with systems and agencies, they influence minds and we provide crucial support to ensure these changes will result in policy and systems transformation that will help our communities to thrive.

We are proud of the grass-roots work we have done to support families and look forward to watching as they raise their voices, stand by their convictions and own their power.

How are you funded?
The Latino Leadership Council is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. It receives no federal or state funding. Support comes from financial and in-kind donations or grants.

What items should I donate?

Bottled waters
Office supplies — printer paper, blue ink pens, notepads, etc.
Art supplies for children — crayons, washable markers, construction paper, etc.
Craft supplies — Beads, jewelry, yarn, etc.
Toiletries, household cleansers and disinfectants and other essential household items
$25 gift-cards for families — Target, Walmart, gas stations, etc.
