About Us
Advancing cultural strength, leadership and well-being within the Latino Community since 2007
We are the only Latino-focused nonprofit in the Sacramento-Placer region with a team of employee Promotores whose role is to conduct home visits to assess needs and connect Latinos to a multitude of Health, Education and Youth Development services.
Due to the hard work of our Promotores, hundreds of Latino families in the region are now linked to existing resources and have also learned how to navigate the systems. We serve our community while teaching agencies cultural competence and advocating for and influencing system change.

Our Programs
The Latino Leadership Council’s programs are client-driven and provide participants with the skills and knowledge needed to improve outcomes for themselves and their families.
-
Personal & Family Wellness - The Latino Leadership Council offers programs that help participants with personal wellness and also builds their capacity to be leaders. We offer the only Spanish-language Parent Project class in the region which teaches and supports parents in understanding how to build better relationships with their children in a bicultural environment.
-
Prenatal / Postnatal Care & Healthy Children 0-5: We support pregnant and new mothers with weekly Mami y Yo classes to share challenges and successes and contribute to healthy child outcomes.
-
Health Access – Our CREER En Tu Salud program provides community-based health access, connects clients to medical, dental, vision, mental health services and nutrition education and supports them in accessing other wellness supports.
-
Youth Development – Through youth groups, cultural education and partnerships with high school and college students, we expose youth to a variety of options and mentors to help them achieve their life goals.
We focus in the areas of Health, Education and Youth Development. For more
